Palomba Italian Retreat
This is an interesting space created by Ladovica and Roberto Palomba. A renovated 17th Century Oil mill, they have been able to recreate the space into a modern and spacious home without loosing all rustic and existing charm. I love, love, LOVE painted out brick work. The movement, texture and shadow are always so unique and magical. This in addition to the carefully selected areas in which they have left raw, creates a magical space that celebrates the beauty of the existing materials.
The base furniture selected is modern, comfortable and blends perfectly within the large and uneven spaces. The highlight furniture brings warmth, texture and direction to the space.
With all of the above being said, I don't love every piece selected but there is that fabulous calm feeling when viewing the images. I could live in a tent in Italy and be ecstatic but to be able to holiday in this space would be beyond magical. HER
